SummerBoost Camp had some special visitors come to camp on Tuesday, July 11th.  There was a team of five from Italy; they work for the Ferrero Kinder Joy candy company, and they came to play some of the games they created for our Joy of Moving time at camp.  Students had a great time talking with our new friends from Italy as well as visiting with Save the Children staff from Connecticut, Kentucky and WV.  Campers, community kiddos and families then joined our guests for the Joy of Moving Family Event outside GCES, 2pm-4pm.  Snacks were shared, books were given, and there was a ton of fun playing games: tic-tac-toe, ring toss, water balloon toss, putt-putt golf, corn hole, and many, many more.  A special "shout-out" to our community partners that joined us at this special event: Mayor Fitzpatrick, Officer Huffman, Gilmer FRN, Gilmer CRI, Birth to Three, Early Steps, Calhoun Banks, United Bank, Minnie Hamilton, the Girl Scouts and Communities in Schools.  There was a videographer and photographer with our guests capturing their special visit at Gilmer SummerBoost Camp.  Great things are happening in Gilmer!  italyitalyItalyItalyItalyItalyItalyItalyItalyItaly
