Summer School will be delayed ONE HOUR on Friday, July 18th. This will allow more time for students to engage in the planned filed trip activity. For example, if your child typically gets on the bus at 7:30am, they will get on the bus at 8:30am; if they get off the bus at 2:30pm, they will get off the bus at 3:30pm. If you have any questions, please call your child's school office. Thank you!

🚀✨ GCES SummerBoost 2025: SPACE CAMP ✨🚀 Our first 7 days have been nothing short of ASTRONOMICAL! 🌟 From a petting zoo and square dancing to STEM fun, Rocket Kabobs, cupcakes for WV’s birthday, and constellation snacks—our Wildcat campers have been busy exploring the galaxy of learning and fun! 💫 Cards for the nursing home, Big Blue Blocks, Running Club, and SO much more… and we’re just getting started! #GoGilmer

🎨🖍✏️ Our rising kindergarteners are getting a boost this summer through Save the Children’s KinderBoost program at GCES! Even though most of these students already know their way around from Pre-K, KinderBoost is giving them an extra head start with hands-on learning, playful activities, and a chance to build even more confidence before the big jump to kindergarten. From outdoor painting fun to working with numbers, letters, and rhyming sounds, we’re excited to see these young learners continue to grow and shine! #GoGilmer

Summer School Programs begin in Gilmer County on Monday, June 16th. SummerBoost is for our K-5th grade students at GCES, while credit recovery will be offered at GCHS. 🎓✨ Our 5th Grade Graduation was a special celebration filled with pride, memories, and a few happy tears! The Class of 2032 is officially ready to go from Wildcat to Mini Titan! 💙🐾❤️ We are so proud of these amazing students and all they’ve accomplished this year. 🍋✨ Our third-grade Lemonade Wars was a sweet success! We want to send a big THANK YOU to our neighbors at Glenville Health and Rehabilitation, all the parents, family members, students, staff, and community guests who came out to support our young entrepreneurs. 💛 Your presence made the event extra special, and our students had a blast serving up their favorite lemonade creations!
