Fun fact: most of these kiddos were the first consolidated class to move through GCES from preschool to 5th Grade. GCES Week At-A-Glance
We have a LOT of items in the Lost and Found at GCES. Please stop in and collect the items your child may have "lost" at school this year. Those items not collected will be donated to a local agency for distribution. Thank you.
On Friday, May 19th, Joshua Williams went to join the Bus Drivers Meeting at the Bus Garage. Josh chose to make a wooden sculpture for the 4H Roundup: Gilmer County School Bus. Mr. Frashure invited Josh to assist him in the meeting and the drivers joined Josh for a group picture. Our bus drivers are the heroes for many of our students and we are thankful for their service to our students and families. Thanks Josh for reminding us!
Today was a perfect day for the 5th Grade field trip to Cedar Creek State Park. Students enjoyed fishing, paddle boating, putt-putt golf, and swimming! GCES will sure miss our 5th graders🏞
Our students and staff enjoyed a fun-filled day watching, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and stopping for lunch at the Lewis County Park!
