🎉🌟 Celebrating Our Perfect Attendance Wildcats! 🌟🎉
We are incredibly proud to recognize 68 students at Gilmer County Elementary who achieved perfect attendance for the first 9 weeks of school! Not missing a single day in that time is truly an impressive accomplishment.
Regular attendance is one of the most important factors in a student’s success. Each school day builds on the last, and being here every day helps students keep up with lessons, stay engaged with their classmates, and feel confident in their learning. When students attend consistently, they’re less likely to fall behind and can tackle new skills with confidence!
Congratulations to our Wildcats with perfect attendance, and thank you to all the families who support them. Let’s keep aiming for excellent attendance every day, GCES! 🐾💪

We want to give a huge thank you to Principal JT Fox for everything he’s done to make GCES such a fantastic place! Mr. Fox brings fun and energy no matter what we are doing. He has made elementary school an adventure for everyone. While we’re sad to see him go, we know that he is going to bring so much positivity to Gilmer County High School. The big kids better get ready—they're about to have the coolest principal in town! One 5th grader said it best, “The really cool part is, Mr. Fox gets to be one of my principals from preschool all the way til I graduate!” Best of luck, Mr. Fox, and don’t forget to come back and visit!
